Ferd Mueller
President and CEO of Siloam Stone, Inc.

Siloam Stone, Inc., was founded in 1973 by Ferd Mueller, a Ceramic Engineer and entrepreneur. The original mine site was opened in 1955 for the rich fire clay deposit which was ideal for refractories manufacturing. The fireclay mineral is still utilized today in the manufacturing process of structural clay products.

Mr. Mueller, who has always had a high degree of interest in landscape design and stone products, believed the stone deposit had excellent potential for landscape and masonry applications.

Indeed, Mr. Mueller was right. The stone deposit, in geological terms, is part of the Dakota Formation which is well known for very high quality sandstone.

Ferd is the father of seven children and has two sons who are actively involved and share holders in the Business. Matthew Mueller is the General Manager – VP and handles the administrative, sales and marketing aspects of the corporation.
